| About Kelly |
|
I'm going to talk about myself in the third person because that makes me seem important. Kelly began his illustrious career in radio his senior year of high school as an intern getting coffee and records (yes we played records) for Smith & Barber on WPLR New Haven. With in a short time he was fired (yes I was fired from a volunteer internship) and moved to the top 40 WKSS Hartford as an all around helper. His first full time job was on the 1000 watt blow torch that covered 2/3rds of Manchester CT, AM 1230 Kickin Country WKHT. His Saturday Afternoon hoedown where he encouraged farmers to put their hoes down and dance to some country tunes became a fan favorite. His voice acting career began at this same time as a volunteer at the Connecticut Radio Information System (CRIS). There Kelly read countless books, newspapers, and magazines for the sight impaired. With in a few years Kelly was conquering morning radio as the co host of the WPHR Power 108 Cleveland Breakfast Flakes (Yes that is a corny morning show name from the 80's!) Cleveland wasn't apparently ready for the sophisticated style of radio that the Breakfast Flakes provided so Kelly was on the move again. Stations, in New London CT, Rutland, VT, and Danbury CT are just some of the major market success that followed. Eventually Kelly found a market with a talent pool he could swim in for a while in New Haven CT. There he won the Radio and Records personality of the year award. He repeated that by bribing the editors again while doing the afternoon show in Long Island at WBLI. Kelly returned to New Haven as the Program Director of KC101 where he was Glenn Beck's boss (yes the guy on CNN and he won't even take my call anymore). After being nominated several times for PD of the year awards but running low on cash for bribes Nash sought out his fortune in a new endeavor, record promotion. There he had an expense account for bribing and won numerous awards while working for Universal Records in both DC and NYC. When the gravy train of the record industry dried up, Kelly decided to move to Charleston SC to live on the beach. There he worked at several stations and started doing some more voice work at the encouragement of Billy Surf (who is now a big shot in that industry so I decided to drop his name there). Kelly's super brainy wife's passion for higher education led them to Columbia and the University of South Carolina in the Summer of 2005. Kelly quickly revived the career of the thought to be expired Jonathon Rush, as the new co host of his Morning Rush on WNOK. Since then they have won numberous awards thanks to Rush's massive bribe budget. Most recently Rush has left WNOK for country radio and Nash said that's a path he can not walk. So Kelly is apart of the Ace & Tj show. Through the years Kelly's has appeared in countless radio and TV commercials for clients like the Nickelodeon television network, State Farm Insurance, the U.S. Navy, & El Chico's Mexican restaurant on Bush River Rd. He was the announcer for ABC-TV’s "Great Night America with Joy Behar" before she joined Barbara Walters on The View. Kelly is currently the author of one of the most read celebrity gossip blogs, Nash Trash! Chris Daughtry probably reads it so you should too. |
